LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that Pepperstone UK Managing Director Iain Rogers has resigned his position in the company.

And, following a brief garden leave, Mr. Rogers plans to join FCA regulated institutional FX and CFDs broker Global Market Index Limited (GMI UK), as the company’s new COO.

Iain Rogers joined Pepperstone about a year and a half ago to head the newly-minted Pepperstone UK, the FCA regulated arm of the Australia based retail forex broker. He had joined Pepperstone from Admiral Markets, serving as CEO of the UK arm of the Estonian based FX broker for more than two years. Earlier is his career Mr. Rogers had spent a significant amount of time at both SG Warburg and HSBC, in their market making operations.

GMI has been growing rapidly the past 18 months making a number of key hires under the direction of CEO Ashraf Ebid. Recent additions to the GMI team include former PrimeXM Head of Sales Richard Bartlett, ex FXCM sales execs Chris Hossain-Nelson and Aaron Brown, and former Exness executive John Taylor. The company also added ex DMM-FX executive Koji Miura to head GMI’s Japan business.

We understand that Pepperstone CEO Tamas Szabo, an alum of UK broker IG Group, is leading an active search for a replacement for Iain Rogers for Pepperstone UK. We had reported (also exclusively) earlier today that the Pepperstone group posted record results in Fiscal 2018 (year ended June 30, 2018), with Revenues of AUD $256 million (USD $184 million), up 54% from 2017.
