ASIC bans former BitConnect representative for seven years

The Australian Securities and Exchange Commission announced banning John Louis Anthony Bigatton from providing financial services for seven years.

Bigatton served as a Australian National Representative of an online cryptocurrency platform BitConnect and cryptocurrency investment scheme BitConnect Lending Platform between August 2017 and January 2018.

The Australian watchdog found that Bigatton provided unlicensed financial product advice. His conduct was also misleading and deceiving in promotion of BitConnect and the BitConnect Lending Platform.

The Commission stated that Bigatton is not fit to provide financial services or adequately trained.
