OANDA introduces MetaTrader 5 multi-asset platform in Japan

A global online multi-asset trading services and currency data and analytics provider, OANDA has now launched MetaTrader 5 in Japan. The company first introduced MT5 to a demo account holder in December and now it has enabled it for Japanese clients to trade on the MetaTrader 5 platform through their live accounts.

The addition of MetaTrader 5 to OANDA’s arsenal of trading platforms was prompted by requests from clients and the company’s commitment to addressing its clients needs and expanding its scope of products. Over the coming months the MT5 platform will be made available in other locations, as well.

Kurt vom Scheidt, Chief Operating Officer with OANDA, commented:

A global leader in online multi-asset trading services, OANDA was built on the foundations of transparency and integrity. Over the course of our 24-year history, we’ve worked hard to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. That’s why we’re pleased to announce the launch of MetaTrader 5 in Japan, which provides access to advanced charting and technical indicators, as well as expanded functionality for EAs, ultimately allowing clients to improve their algorithmic trading results.

He continued:

We believe the addition of MetaTrader 5 to our range of platforms will further enhance the trading experience we offer to our clients and reinforce our position as the number one foreign FX broker in Japan. We also look forward to rolling it out around the world soon, in response to client demand.

OANDA, announced in the beginning of March the strengthening of its partnership with Dublin-based FinTech firm Chasing Returns. OANDA’s platforms offer expanded suite of capabilities, utilizing behavioural science research to help improve trading performance. The collaboration expands on the already integrated in 2018 Chasing Returns’ risk management technology into OANDA’s trading platform, providing retail clients with access to its Trading Performance Management portal.
