Deutsche Börse’s cash markets turnover reaches €145.3 billion in January

Deutsche Börse reported a cash markets turnover of €145.3 billion in January (€123.4 billion for the previous year).

€123.2 billion of the generated turnover were ascribed to the trading venue Xetra (€112.3 billion for the previous year). The results bring the average daily trading volume of Xetra to €5.6 billion. Börse Frankfurt brought trading volume of €4.1 billion (€2.9 billion for the previous year) and Tradegate Exchange of €18.0 billion (€8.2 billion for the previous year).

Divided by type of asset, around €126.4 billion are attributed to the equities. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs makes up €16.7 billion of the turnover and €0.5 billion were achieved in bonds, €1.5 billion in certificates and €0.3 billion in funds.

In the DAX stock index, SAP SE generated the highest volume on Xetra in January to the amount of €5.9 billion. On the MDAX equity index, Vara AG led with €1.4 billion and TLG Immobilien AG lead on SDAX index with €283 million. The iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF generated the largest volume in ETFs trading with €1.2 billion.
