Deutsche Börse reports 64% increase in turnover MoM

Deutsche Börse reported yesterday a 64% MoM increase in turnover of €300.7 billion in March (€130.3 billion for the previous year).

€259.6 billion of the total turnover are attributed to Xetra with almost 69% increase MoM (€117.8 billion for the previous year). The average daily trading volume for Xetra reached €11.8 billion, marking 53% growth MoM. Börse Frankfurt achieved turnover of €8.4 billion, making 50% MoM increase (previous year: €2.9 billion) and on Tradegate Exchange €32.7 billion with 38.5% growth MoM (previous year: €9.6 billion).

Divided by class of asset, equities generated around €256.8 billion. Trading ETFs/ETCs/ETNs earned €39.0 billion. The trading volume in bonds was €1.0 billion, in certificates €3.3 billion and in funds €0.6 billion.

SAP SE achieved the highest volume from the DAX stock on Xetra in March with €15.8 billion with over 125% increase MoM. Commerzbank AG led the MDAX equities with €1.8 billion in March and HelloFresh SE led the SDAX index with €570 million. The iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF generated the largest volume in the ETF sector with €1.8 billion.
