Deutsche Börse elects Heike Eckert as member of the Executive Board

Hauke Stars who has served two terms as a member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse AG will not be available for a third. Therefore, the Supervisory Board of the company decided last week to appoint Heike Eckert as full member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse AG, effective 1 July 2020.

Eckert will be responsible for the newly formed Executive Board Human Resources and Compliance division. She will also take over Director of Labour Relations after Stars.

Currently, Heike Eckert is a member of the Executive Board and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Eurex Clearing AG. She has previously held different management positions at Deutsche Börse Group. She has been working for the company since 1995, both in Germany and abroad.

The Cash Market, for which Hauke Stars was responsible until now, will be integrated into the Trading & Clearing division of the company, headed by Thomas Book, effective 1 July 2020.

Hauke Stars is leaving Deutsche Börse AG at her own request. The departure will happen by the end of June 2020 before her current contract expires.
