Dash appoints Venu Palaparthi as Chief Compliance Officer

Dash Financial Technologies today announced the appointment of Venu Palaparthi as its new Chief Compliance Office and Head of Regulatory Affairs. Mr. Palaparthi will be in charge of Dash’s corporate compliance strategy including the implementation of regulatory policies within the company and will lead efforts to comply with government rules and regulations.

Mr. Palaparthi has 25 years’ experience within the securities industry having held positions covering market structure, technology, management and compliance. He graduated from the University of Texas with an MBA in Finance and is currently a Distinguished Fellow at the Center for Financial Markets and Policy in Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

His last position was as CCO and Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs at Tagomi Holdings, an electronic exchange for digital assets. Mr. Palaparthi was the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, while also serving as CEO of U.S.-domiciled trading entities at Virtu Financial before joining Tagomi Holdings. Before that, he was Vice President of Nasdaq’s Global Trading and Market Services, while still serving as CEO and CCO of Nasdaq’s U.S. broker-dealer entities. He had worked for 11 years at Instinet LLC, prior to joining NASDAQ, where his last position was as CCO. His career begun at Reuters Americas where he was part of the Operational Review and Strategic Marketing teams.

The CEO and Co-Founder of Dash Financial Technologies, Peter Maragos commented:
