Moscow Exchange experiences trading interruption on Equity & Bond Market

Moscow Exchange, or Moskovskaya Birzha OAO (MCX:MOEX), the biggest venue for trading shares, derivatives and FX in Russia, today went through another trading outage. This time the issues plagued MOEX’s Equity & Bond Market, with trading interrupted for about an hour.

Trading in shares and bonds was suspended at 14:59 MSK as a result of an outage. At 15:35 MSK the trading system was fixed, and clients were allowed to remove orders. Trading on the market resumed at 15:55 MSK. The FX Market and Derivatives Market were unaffected and operated as usual.

MOEX is still investigating the particular cause for the problems and says details are yet to be unveiled.
