The Moscow Exchange (MOEX) just announced that has added the Brent Oil Futures contract (BR-1.18) expired on 1 January 2018 to the trading system. The contract corresponds with the ICE Brent Crude Futures contract expired on 19 December 2017.
In this regard, the ICE Brent Index price published on the ICE’s website on 29 December 2017 will be the Brent Oil Futures’s final settlement price.
To fully synchronise final settlement of the Brent Oil Futures with the ICE Brent Crude Futures, the Exchange is going to move the last trading date (final settlement date) to 29 December 2017 (from 1 January 2018). The date will be changed technically (without any changes in its code) after 4 December 2017 when the December Brent Oil Futures (BR-12.17) expire.
