Refinitiv, formerly the Financial and Risk business of information giant Thomson Reuters (NYSE:TRI), has announced the addition of next-generation digital tools for wealth portals. The new digital tools aim to deliver a customizable suite of widget capabilities designed to support the experiences of wealth management firms on Refinitiv’s portal.

The company’s HTML-5 responsive widgets provide a fast and seamless way for firms to deploy Refinitiv’s content and market data, thus allowing customers to optimize and customize their digital experiences for end users across devices.

Christopher Sparke, Global Head of Digital Solutions at Refinitiv, commented:

Wealth managers are digitally transforming all aspects of their business and require scalable, open, flexible and unified data-integration solutions in a digital-first environment. As the wealth management industry continues its digital transformation, we at Refinitiv are committed to developing next-generation wealth portal solutions that provide our clients with the data, technology and insight to empower better decisions and user engagement.

Alois Pirker, Research Director, Aite Group, said:

Wealth management firms are under great pressure to shift away from run-of-the-mill offerings and develop unique experiences for their clients and advisors. Firms that will get this transition right will be better able to articulate the value proposition they offer their clients and at the same time be in a good spot to differentiate from their competition. Refinitiv’s widget capabilities will further allow wealth management firms to respond to the ever-faster changing client needs in an effective manner.

Over the last year, Refinitiv has invested heavily in the business and is committed to bringing the most advanced solutions to the market. The ongoing transformation includes building out the firm’s solutions through strategic partnerships, including: SigFig, MarketPsych, Appway, StoneCastle and Sberbank to add Digital Advice Technology, MarketPsych Indices, Automated and Customized Advisory and End-Client Workflows, and Enhanced Cash Management Solutions to clearing and self-clearing broker-dealer clients.
