Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) seems to have had a busy September so far, at least this is suggested by the frequency at which it publishes warnings regarding unauthorized businesses.
Earlier today, the regulator published its 16th warning for September 2015. The new addition to the Alert List is Experia Management Group, a company that offers a variety of investment services, including trading in currencies, through www.experia-group.com.
The regulator stresses that the company is not licensed to target Hong Kong residents and to provide them investment services.
The SFC adds that unlicensed entities often use names similar to legitimate companies to confuse investors.
