Bats names Dave Nadig CEO of its news and analysis division

ETF exchange leader Bats Global Markets, Inc. (Bats: BATS) has named Dave Nadig as CEO of the company’s news and analysis division. Nadig replaces current CEO David Lichtblau who will be leaving to pursue ‘other interests’.

etf-dot-comNadig’s hire is actually a homecoming, as he rejoins the firm where he played a leadership role from 2008-2015.

With more than 20 years of ETF experience, Mr. Nadig is widely recognized as a leading ETF expert with deep market expertise and long track record in product development and marketing. In his previous tenure as’s Chief Investment Officer, he was a highly influential columnist and thought leader, while also building the company’s ETF data and analytics platform and developing new methodologies for analyzing and rating ETFs.

Dave Nadig said:

Dave Nadig formally rejoins on November 21, and reports to Bats SVP Global Head of Exchange Traded Products, Laura Morrison. Ms. Morrison said:

I’ve known Dave for many years and have always admired his innovative spirit and his dedication to the ETF industry. I am eager to work with him and the entire team at during this pivotal time.

Most recently, Mr. Nadig worked at FactSet Research Systems, leading FactSet’s entry into the ETF data market and managing the integration of the data and analytics business into the FactSet global architecture. FactSet purchased that part of the business in 2015, prior to the Bats purchase of the website and flagship publication ETF Report.

His previous experience includes leadership roles at Barclays Global Investors and dot-com era internet mutual fund, He also co-founded the consultancy Cerulli Associates. He holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Boston University.
