GMO Financial Gate announces approved listing on Tokyo Stock Exchange

GMO Internet announced today the listing of common stock of its consolidated subsidiary GMO Financial Gate (GMO FG) on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc.

The parent company GMO Internet first launched on the market in 1995 and now comprehensively develops Internet Infrastructure, Online Advertising & Media, Internet Finance, and Cryptocurrency businesses. GMO FG is a second-tier subsidiary through the payment and finance-related services operator GMO Payment Gateway (GMO PG).

As the business opportunities in the offline market expand, GMO FG’s listing will also raise the social recognition and credibility of the company. The listing will also advance service and system development capability through the procured capital which will also facilitate GMO-FG’s 2 medium to long term sustainable business growth.

GMO FG’s shares are owned by GMO PG and the listing will help GMO PG pursue group-wide synergies and promote their business. This will be useful in raising overall corporate value. GMO-FG is intended to remain as a consolidated subsidiary but the company has independent management. The listing will also assist in advancing the corporate value of GMO-FG through more direct engagements with various stakeholders.
