French AMF warns against unauthorized companies proposing atypical investments

The Board of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) just announced that it has decided to withdraw its authorisation for portfolio management company Vendôme Capital Partners. This withdrawal will take effect on 27 April 2018.

The Board of the AMF, meeting on 23 January 2018, took note that the company no longer met the conditions of its autorisation. Pursuant to Article L. 532-10 of the French Monetary and Financial Code, the AMF Board decided to withdraw its authorisation for Vendôme Capital Partners as a portfolio management company. Its authorisation is withdrawn with due effect from 27 April 2018.

Until that date, the portfolio management company is placed under the control of Ms Claude Dupuy, who is appointed as representative by the AMF to ensure that the company may only carry out those transactions during this period that are strictly necessary to protect the interests of clients and unitholders in the investment funds managed by the said company.
