Christian Altvater becomes head of Deutsche Börse’s newly created Tax department

Effective 1 September, Dr Christian Altvater (53) is to become the head of Deutsche Börse Group’s newly created Tax department. As Managing Director, Altvater, who holds a degree in law, will report directly to Deutsche Börse AG CFO Gregor Pottmeyer.

Altvater is joining Deutsche Börse from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he served as a partner in Financial services, Tax, and Banking and capital markets for approximately ten years. He previously held positions at Deutsche Bank and also as a lawyer at Thümmel, Schütze & Partner law firm in Stuttgart, among others.
