ASIC bans the Managing Director of Gold Coast financial group for 3 years

asic ban

Australian watchdog ASIC announced earlier today on its official website that it has banned Kyle Marshall from providing financial services for 3 years.

According to the regulator, Marshall had not complied with financial services laws and lacked fundamental knowledge and competency relevant to providing financial services.

Marshall was an authorised representative of Sentinel Private Wealth Pty Ltd (a company in liquidation) as well as a director of Vogue Planners Pty Limited (a corporate authorised representative of Sentinel).

Marshall recommended clients to invest in a share investment strategy, including trading in options operated by the director of Australian Share Registry Pty Ltd. Rodney Peters.

ASIC found that Marshall was not adequately trained or competent to provide financial services. His clients ultimately experienced large losses on their investments with Peters.

The official announcement can be seen here.
