MetaQuotes busy connecting MT5 to liquidity sources

MetaQuotes Software, the developer of MetaTrader, has set a goal to shift users of its popular MT4 platform over to its upgraded MT5 by the end of 2012. And to facilitate that shift, MetaQuotes has been focusing on integrating MT5 with all the major FX liquidity sources.

To date, brokers offering MT5 can connect to CitiFX Pro and Currenex. Today, MetaQuotes announced that they have finalized a new gateway to connect to Integral’s FX Grid, a a global inter-institutional connectivity and trading network.

Next, apparently MetaQuotes will focus on MT5 integration with exchanges — the MT5 platform is already integrated with a number of different stock exchanges including the DGCE (Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange), the Singapore Mercantile Exchange, and Russia’s RTS.

Last month Alpari become the first online FX broker to go live with MT5.
