Rosenthal Collins Group names Brian Ager President of new institutional FX division

Rosenthal Collins Group LLC (RCG), an independent futures brokerage based in Chicago that specializes in serving Introducing Brokers, institutions, professional traders and individual investors, today announced the appointment of Brian Ager as President of the firm’s new Institutional Forex division in New York.

Ager has spent more than three decades in financial services, including more than 22 years of management, trading and sales experience in foreign exchange futures and cash markets.

RCG President Maureen Downs said:

Brian has a terrific track record of building a global client base, executing all types of FX products and managing major client accounts, and he’ll bring that expertise to bear on our behalf.  Over time, he will recruit a team of talented, experienced institutional FX professionals to support our growth in this sector.

Ager said:

Since 2011, Ager served as Senior Director of New York FX Sales & Trading for R.J. O’Brien & Associates. From 2009 to 2011, he was a Director of FX Sales & Trading for RCG.

Previously, Ager was Vice President, FX Institutional Sales for Citibank and for RBC Capital Markets, beginning in 2000. His FX career began in 1994 at AIG International, where he started on the spot FX desk and earned a promotion to the FX sales desk to manage the firm’s high priority clients. In 1998 he moved to the AIG head office in Greenwich, Conn. as Assistant Vice President of FX Institutional Sales.

Ager joined AIG Europe (UK) Ltd in 1986, working as a commercial property damage and business interruption underwriter until 1994.
