ANZ appoints JP Morgan’s Scott Manning Chief Financial Officer, Australia

The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) today announced the appointment of Scott Manning as Chief Financial Officer, Australia reporting to Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer Shane Buggle.

Mr Manning joins from JP Morgan where he has held senior finance and analyst roles for the past 15 years and is currently lead Analyst for the Australian Banking Sector.

Mr Manning’s responsibilities will include leading the finance function for both the Australian and Digital divisions and will be a key member of ANZ’s finance leadership team.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Buggle said:

It’s pleasing to be able to attract somebody with Scott’s considerable experience to join ANZ. His insights, commercial acumen and ability to challenge conventional thinking will make him a strong addition to the team as we continue to transform our business.

Scott is well known for not only asking probing questions but for also having a deep and considered knowledge of the banking industry. As one of Australia’s leading bank analysts, his experience examining the Australian banks makes him strongly qualified to lead a strategic finance role within ANZ,” Mr Buggle added.

Mr Manning will commence the role on 1 August, 2017 based in Melbourne.
