For retail FX firms, the increased competition across all regions has necessitated a very thorough approach to marketing and client acquisition.
For this reason, many companies seek to onboard those with extensive experience within the industry, with Think Forex‘s recent appointment of Stefan Lucas being no exception.
Mr. Lucas has assumed his senior position as Group Head of Marketing at Think Forex’s London operations following four years at British spread betting and CFD giant IG Group, where he held a series of leadership roles within the firm’s marketing department, having joined the firm as UK Brand & Marketing Manager in 2010.
A year after joining IG Group, Mr. Lucas was promoted to Pan-European Marketing & Business Development Manager at IG Group’s IGG Sales division.
Prior to his four year tenure at IG Group, Mr. Lucas spent a year and a half in the capacity of Marketing Executive at Alpari, whre he implemented GoToMarket business development strategies at a time when the firm’s global monthly turnover increased substantially.
Mr. Lucas joined Alpari from Merrill Lynch, where he was part of a comprehensive rotation program across the entire bank, including stints on the trading floor as well as within the firm’s ultra-high net worth private bank, as well as research and marketing, subsequent to a year at CMC Markets in London.
