Malta’s MFSA calls out ABFX for claiming it is regulated

Alarmingly the website of ABFX seems to be “under construction”.

The Maltese regulator MFSA (Malta Financial Services Authority) has issued a press release outlining that an unregulated forex broker has been operating fraudulently claiming that it is licensed for providing investment services on the island. The entity has been operating under the names ABFX Ltd and ABFX Inc. and has offering investment services through its website https://www.alphabetafx.com/.

As of the time of the MFSA’s announcement, ABFX’s website was up and did indeed claim to be regulated by the MFSA, exulting the MFSA’s virtues (see screenshot below). However as of writing, the website of ABFX seems to be down with an “under construction” announcement. The regulator states that the mentioned entity is not a company that is registered in Malta and has not been licensed by the MFSA.

ABFX claims MFSA regulation

The regulator issues a warning against dealing with the abovementioned company and website and reminds customers of financial services not to engage in any financial dealings with companies that have not been confirmed to be regulated under the MFSA or any other trustworthy authority.

The full list of companies that are regulated under the Maltese regulator can be found on MFSA’s website.
