IG Group appoints Malcolm Le May as non-exec director

Leading online trading services provider IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) is strengthening further its Board of Directors by appointing Malcolm Le May as non-executive director with immediate effect.

Mr Le May will also assume the role of Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

His appointment comes less than a week after the company welcomed June Felix to the Board.

IG GroupAt present, Mr Le May holds two non-executive director roles: at Provident Financial plc where he is also Senior Independent Director and Remuneration Committee Chair; and at Hastings Insurance Services where he is also Remuneration Committee Chair. He is also currently a partner at Opus Corporate Finance LLP and holds advisory positions at Juno Capital LLP, Heidrick & Struggles and Ernst &Young.

Recently, Mr Le May served as Senior Independent Director of Pendragon plc and was a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Investment Committee at RSA Insurance Group plc. Before this, he held a number of executive roles at Morgan Grenfell plc, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Barclays de Zoete Wedd Holdings, UBS AG, ING Barings Ltd, Morley Fund Managers (now Aviva Investors), JER Partners Ltd where he was European President and Matrix Securities Limited.
