GMO Click Holdings Inc (TYO:7177), the parent company of Japanese online trading giant GMO Click Securities, earlier today reported its preliminary financial metrics for the first half of the fiscal year to March 31, 2016.
The numbers for the six months to September 30, 2015, are quite robust, with revenues and profits staging a steep rise year-on-year.
Let’s examine the particular metrics.
Operating revenues amounted to JPY 15.52 billion ($130.3m), up 48.5% from the result of JPY 10.45 billion registered in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Operating income amounted to JPY 5.81 billion, staging a rise of massive 117.6% from the result registered a year earlier.
Profits attributable to owners of the parent company totalled JPY 3.44 billion, a result which is 87.2% higher than the one registered in the six months to September 30, 2014.
