GMO Click Holdings Inc (TYO:7177), the parent of Japanese online trading giant GMO Click Securities, today published its preliminary financial metrics for March 2016 and the fiscal year to end-March 2016, with revenues and profits showing a significant rise.
During the 12 months to March 31, 2016, GMO Click had operating revenues of JPY 29.02 billion, up 16.3% from the result of JPY 24.96 billion reported in the preceding fiscal year.
Operating income in the fiscal year to the end of March 2016 amounted to JPY 10.61 billion, up 37% on an annual basis, whereas ordinary income reached JPY 10.57 billion, up 37.1% in annual terms.
The profit attributable to owners of the company reached JPY 6.45 billion, marking a rise of 32.9% from fiscal year 2015.
In March 2016, GMO Click had operating revenues of JPY 2.08 billion, up 5% from the reading of JPY 1.98 billion reported for February 2016. During the three months to the end of March 2016, operating revenues amounted to JPY 6.73 billion, virtually unchanged from the preceding quarter.
