FXCM updates Trading Station Mobile app, offers Real Volume indicators

Multinational electronic trading giant FXCM (NYSE:FXCM) has just launched an updated version of its Trading Station Mobile application, with the improvements including the latest range of in-house developed Real Volume indicators.

On November 11, 2014, the app was released for all owners of Android-based devices, which can be downloaded here. Following this release, the broker promises that later this month the new version of Trading Station Mobile will also become available to iPhone users.

FXCM announced the pending launch of the Real Volume/Transactions indicators in June this year, but until now these indicators have been available only on the desktop version of Trading Station. Fans of trading on the go can now make use of five indicators that are part of the Real Volume series:

– Real Volume indicator
– Transactions indicator
– Market Movers
– Directional Real Volume
– On Balance Real Volume

The new indicators provide a deeper understanding and more detailed picture of the markets. They can be pretty handy for trend-followers and for traders who trade on breakouts, as a Real Volume indicator can help distinguish between a true and a false breakout, as well as confirm trends and reversals.

The Real Volume/Transactions indicators can be used with a variety of timeframes: m1, m5, m15, m30, H1, H2, H3, H4, H6, H8, D1, and W1. They work with 14 currency pairs: EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, EUR/JPY, AUD/USD, GBP/JPY, USD/CAD, AUD/JPY, USD/CHF, EUR/CHF, NZD/USD, EUR/AUD, EUR/GBP and EUR/CAD.

On top of the new indicators one can use on Trading Station Mobile, there are other important updates, including a new type of entry order – Good Till Date, which offers extra flexibility to traders when it comes to the entry into the market. Other improvements allow traders to: drag and drop stops and limits, draw new shapes like ellipses, rectangles and arrows, customize Fibonacci levels, create customized chart toolbars, sort column headings in list view, and set time zone to New York.

For traders who’d like to test the latest version of the app in a risk-free environment, FXCM offers demo accounts with virtual capital of $50,000.
