Ex-Bank of New York VP Joseph Velli joins Scivantage Board of Directors

Scivantage, a Global FinTech 100 technology provider of wealth management and cost basis solutions, today announced the appointment of financial services and technology industry veteran Joseph Velli to its Board of Directors.

For most of his career, Mr. Velli served as a Senior Executive Vice President of The Bank of New York and as a member of the Bank’s Senior Policy Committee. While at the Bank, his responsibilities also included heading Global Issuer Services, Global Custody and related Investor Services, Consumer Banking and Global Marketing and Sales. In late 2006, Mr. Velli assisted in the launch of BNY Convergex Group and served as its first Chairman and CEO.

Chris Calhoun, Chief Executive Officer at Scivantage, said,

Mr. Velli currently serves on the Public Boards of Computershare Limited and Paychex, Inc. and is a member of the School of Business Advisory Board at William Paterson University. He also served on the Boards of E*TRADE Financial Corporation, E*TRADE Bank and American Management Systems, Inc.

He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.A. in accounting from William Paterson University of New Jersey.

The news on Mr.Velli’s appointment is released a couple of months after Scivantage appointed Chris Calhoun, former Chief Operating Officer of Gain Capital Holdings Inc (NYSE:GCAP), as its Chief Executive Officer.
