DMM FX Australia shuts down WebTrader platform

A quick note from DMM FX Australia, a regulated FX broker with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), a subsidiary of well established Tokyo based parent company, the DMM.com Group, a firm with one of the highest market shares in the FX industry. The firm has notified clients that the DMM FX WebTrader platform will cease operating as of Saturday, January 10, 2015.

The firm states that the closure of this platform will not have any impact on open trades. No word on if this is a permanent shift in strategy to move all trading to MT4 desktop and mobile applications or if they are on the search for a replacement web based platform. LeapRate has reached out to company officials and will report back when we have further updates.
