North American derivatives marketplace CME Group Inc (NASDAQ:CME)Â today declared a first-quarter 2015 dividend of $0.50 per share, a six percent increase from the prior rate of $0.47 per share. The dividend is payable March 25, 2015, to shareholders of record as of March 10, 2015.
This comes after a strong performance from the company during 2014, with the annual variable dividend of $2.00 per share having been paid in January 2015 totaling more than $673 million. CME Group paid its first annual variable dividend in March 2012. Including the annual variable dividend which the company paid in January, CME Group has paid a total of more than $4 billion in quarterly and variable dividends since the beginning of 2012.
