ULLINK, a global provider of electronic trading and connectivity solutions to the financial community, today announced the appointment of Ofir Gefen as Managing Director (MD) for the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Gefen has assumed direct responsibility for ULLINK’s operations in the region, reporting directly to Didier Bouillard, ULLINK’s CEO.
Mr. Gefen has more than 15 years’ experience in the Finance Industry, most recently as Managing Director and Co-Head of Execution for Asia Pacific at ITG. His 18 year tenure at ITG includes senior managerial roles in Israel and the USA. Since relocating to Hong Kong in 2008, Mr. Gefen successfully developed and oversaw strategic initiatives to grow revenue in the areas of electronic execution, algorithmic trading and analytics.
Speaking of the move to ULLINK, Mr. Gefen said:

Mr. Gefen’s appointment is part of a significant strengthening of ULLINK’s APJ management team, reflecting the company’s increasing focus on the region. After 12 years with ULLINK in Paris, Luc Hovhannessian is relocating to Singapore as ULLINK’s Director of South East Asia (ASEAN). Also re-joining ULLINK as Head of Sales for North Asia is Doris Teo, whose previous firms include SunGard (FIS) and 360T (Deutsche Börse Group). Mr. Hovhannessian and Ms. Teo will both report to Mr. Gefen.
