Back in December, 2018, Leaprate reported that Opera, a company founded in 1995 in Norway, was launching a blockchain browser for Android users.
The web browser Opera announced last year was the launch of the first Web 3-ready browser. The Android browser includes a built-in crypto wallet and Web 3 support.
Now, the company is releasing a blockchain browser for its iOS users. The product is developed to meet the increasing demands from the Ethereum community that works primarily on iOS.
The browser is ready to use and starting from June 26th, 2019, Opera Touch for iOS provides the same Web 3.0 and cryptocurrency wallet integration as its PC-based counterpart and Android version.
Apart from the cryptocurrency wallet integration, the iOS browser also has functionality for decentralized apps (dApps) built on Ethereum.
The Opera app is available now in the app store, where customers can then send the crypto ether to the Opera wallet and receive the dApps and also certain blockchain applications. All users should do to receive those is type their addresses into a special URL bar.
The blockchain browser also allows users to protect their personal data with the help of a VPN.
After the success of the blockchain browser for Android, Opera is visibly taking serious steps in the blockchain/crypto space.
