Square Crypto – Jack Dorsey’s way to improving the crypto community

Jack Dorsey’s Square Crypto reveals its first hire - Google alum Steve Lee

Bitcoin has built some stamina over the last few weeks, which, although have been quite volatile, the cryptocurrency managed to stabilize its price level at just above $4,000. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at around $4,025.

Now, there is an ambitious plan put forward by the CEO of Square and Twitter, Jack Dorsey, who is reportedly putting a special team to create a better Bitcoin and work on some crypto projects.

Dorsey announced the project through his Twitter account, saying:

Square is hiring 3-4 crypto engineers and 1 designer to work full-time on open source contributions to the bitcoin/crypto ecosystem. Work from anywhere, report directly to me, and we can even pay you in bitcoin! Introducing .

The idea is that the team will work full-time on crypto projects and will even be paid in Bitcoin. Another interesting thing is that the team will not be focusing on the interests of Square, but rather on what is best for the community in terms of cryptocurrencies and improvements.

Jack Dorsey is one of the biggest supporters of Bitcoin. According to press and some of his statements, Dorsey hopes that Bitcoin will eventually become the native currency of the world and the internet.

In another tweet, Dorsey explained his primary motivation for hiring a team to work on such projects, saying:

Square has taken a lot from the open source community to get us here. We haven’t given enough back. This is a small way to give back, and one that’s aligned with our broader interests: a more accessible global financial system for the internet.
