Paysafe extends Google partnership in 5 new countries

Google has just informed that it has added paysafecard, a prepaid solution and part of the payments services company Paysafe Group Plc (LON:PAYS), as a new payment method in the Google Play Store in five additional European countries: Germany, the UK, France, Spain and Greece.

Earlier this year, Paysafe has teamed with Google to be one of the first Payment Service Providers (PSP) to launch in-app Android Pay capabilities to its merchants in Canada.

paysafecard is already accepted as a Google Play Store payment method in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Cyprus.

paysafecard enables consumers to use cash to shop securely for goods online, using a 16-digit PIN to complete the payment transaction.

Commenting on the expansion of the partnership, Udo Müller, CEO of paysafecard, said:

paysafecard empowers people to shop online in a quick, convenient and secure way even if they don’t have a bank account, or simply don’t want to share details of their bank account online. Collaborating with brands like Google is an important part of our growth and ensures that paysafecard fulfils the needs of millions of customers on the Google Play Store.
