Continuing its charge (no pun intended) to grow its business outside of its core online industry base, payments solutions provider SafeCharge International Group Ltd (LON:SCH) has announced that El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TLV:ELAL), Israel’s national airline, has selected SafeCharge’s advanced payments system.
SafeCharge recently hired Barclaycard’s Phil Atherton as its new Chief Risk Officer (CRO), also clearly as part of its aim to grow its business outside the Gaming, Forex and other online sector areas where SafeCharge has been traditionally strong.
SafeCharge technologies will be used by El Al for facilitating the processing of payments via third party acquirers, for multiple sales channels including website, call centers, internal booking systems, duty-free and more.
El Al’s technology solution for the global travel industry, Amadeus and related systems are integrated into SafeCharge’s Payments Platform. This integration provides El Al with a comprehensive suite of payments solutions such as smart routing, aviation-specific fraud prevention for all cards and Alternative Payment Methods (APMs), and PCI tokenization capabilities.
Additionally, SafeCharge facilitates the acquiring relationship with multiple third parties giving El Al access to global acquiring services and the utilization of multiple Alternative Payment Methods (APMs).
