Optimal Payments’ shareholders approve proposed company name change

Optimal Payments Plc (LON:OPAY), which in August this year finalized a $1.2 billion acquisition of Skrill, has just published the results of an Extraordinary General Meeting of its shareholders held earlier today.

The main topic that was discussed at the meeting was a proposed change to the name of the company to “Paysafe Group plc”.

Optimal Payments’ shareholders agreed with all proposed resolutions, including the one concerning the name change. This means that soon Optimal Payments will be named “Paysafe Group plc”.

The company said the change is expected to be effective in about a month’s time. A separate announcement will be made in due course.
