Monex’s investment management subsidiary names new president

Japan-based online trading giant Monex Group, Inc. (TYO:8698) today announces changes at the top of its newly established subsidiary – Monex-Saison-Vanguard Investment Partners, Inc. (MSVIP).

Keiichi O’hara, former executive vice president of MSVIP, is the new president of the discretionary investment management firm. His appointment is effective today – January 7, 2016.

In his new role, Mr. O’hara is replacing Hiroshi Aikawa, who will assume the role of General Manager, Financial Control Department of Monex Group, Inc., also effective January 7, 2016.

Before joining MSVIP, Keiichi O’hara was a project leader at Online AM Project. From August 2007 to March 2015 he was Business Development/Product Development Manager at DIAM International, and, prior to that, he was Business Development Associate at DIAM Asset Management.

From April 2003 to June 2004 Mr. O’Hara was a Research Associate at Nomura Research Institute.

He is a certified Chartered Financial Analyst and Financial Risk Manager.
