MetaQuotes Software Corp., the developer of the popular trading platforms MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) turns 15 today.
The company notes that since their launch, the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 trading platforms have come a long way, evolving from a tool for trading into an entire ecosystem offering a variety of services, such as the market of trading applications, social trading, and built-in virtual hosting.
The company is expanding across the globe. In 2015, MetaQuotes Software opened new representative offices in Japan, Thailand, and Pakistan, thus increasing the total number of offices to twelve. Since the start of this year, MetaTrader 5 has been launched at several exchanges, including Borsa Istanbul (BIST), Brazilian Securities, Commodities and Futures Exchange (BM&F Bovespa), Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX), Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), South African Futures Exchange (SAFEX), and Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX).
One of the most important achievements of the company this year is the release of the MetaTrader 4 web platform, which enables trading via browsers. MetaQuotes says more than 100 companies ordered the web platform and started offering it to their traders within the first month after the release.
The range of trading robots and technical indicators available in the Market has grown substantially — more than 6,800 various applications are currently available for download. The company has also made possible to rent trading robots.
The MetaTrader platforms for iOS and Android are developing actively as well. Lastly, the Japanese version of the MQL5.com website has been launched and over 30 video tutorials for traders have been released.
