Today we learned from official filings that London based Forex brokerage XTB Limited, the operator of XTB.com has appointed a new director in Marcus James Ford, an FX industry veteran of many years. This brings the total count of current directors to three at XTB Limited. Mr. Ford most recently served as a director at OANDA Europe from November 9th, 2012 to April 28th, 2014.
A global brokerage with 11 offices around the world and operating its own trading platform, xStation, XTB is part of XTB Group.
LeapRate spoke with Mr. Ford earlier today who stated to us the following: “It’s a very exciting time for XTB in the UK. Over the past year we have more than tripled our retail trading volume and as we continue to grow our business and market share in the UK, I’ll be ensuring our existing compliance processes remain rigorous and fit for purpose, amongst a number of additional aspects, as we scale the business.”
Mr. Ford is currently serving in a role within Compliance & AML at XTB. His previous experience within FX trading includes time at OANDA Europe as mentioned and also Plus500 UK Ltd, where he also specialized in AML compliance.
