KCG’s market making division averaged $29.3 billion trading in November

KCG Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: KCG) today released trade volumes for the month of November 2014.

In Market Making, KCG averaged $29.3 billion dollar volume traded, 5.2 billion shares traded, and 3.7 million trades per day in U.S. equities.

In Global Execution Services, KCG electronic execution averaged 310.5 million shares traded per day in U.S. equities, whilst KCG’s Hotspot FX ECN averaged $32.8 billion per day in notional foreign exchange dollar volume which was down 4% when viewed on a monthly basis compared to the high points of October.

KCG BondPoint averaged $132.0 million per day in fixed income par value

As for the overall market conditions in November, consolidated U.S. equity volume averaged $257.2 billion in dollar volume and 6.3 billion shares traded per day. The realized volatility for the S&P 500 was 4.1.

In November, there were 18.5 trading days in U.S. equities, 20 in foreign exchange and 17.5 in fixed income.
