France’s AMF adds five Forex companies to “Black List”

France’s financial markets regulator AMF has been very active in issuing warnings against unauthorized binary options and FX brokers. Today, the French watchdog updated its “Black List” of unauthorized Forex companies that target French investors, adding five more brokers to the list.

The latest additions to the “Black List” are:

  • www.activmarkets.com / ACTIVMARKETS;
  • www.brokers500.com / MARKET CITY INTER. SRL;
  • www.cvcgroups.com / CVC LTD;
  • www.icmarkets.com / INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL MARKETS PTY LTD;
  • www.zarforex.com / RGV MEDIA LTD.

The companies mentioned above are not authorized to provide online trading services to French residents. The “Black List” of unauthorized FX companies targeting French investors now includes 84 companies.

Recently, the AMF published the findings of a survey concerning investment fraud in France. The poll, conducted online in November 2015, showed that 62% of the respondents are informed of investments offered by non-bank institutions and at least 22% of the total know of the Forex and/or binary options markets. Amid all of the respondents, 5% have been a victim of an investment fraud.
