BGC Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ:BGCP), a brokerage company servicing the financial and real estate markets, today announced the appointment of Nicole Shaughnessy as Managing Director, Environmental Products.
Ms. Shaughnessy will run BGC’s Environmental Product Desk through BGC Environmental Brokerage Services L.P. She reports to Shawn McLoughlin, Senior Managing Director of New Business Development, BGC.
Ms. Shaughnessy has two decades of leadership expertise in the highly specialized energy and environmental sectors. She was most recently Founder and President of The Finerty Group. Prior to that, she held several senior roles at Evolution Markets for nearly 10 years, managing and overseeing the company’s Western Emissions, Renewable Energy and Weather Derivatives desks.
She also assisted in establishing the German power desk as a Director at Natsource-Tullet, Inc.’s London office and served as a Natural Gas Broker and Partner at Natsource, Inc.’s New York office.
