LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that leading Australia-based retail forex broker AxiTrader has added Paul Hare as Compliance Manager for AxiTrader UK. Based in London, Hare will also act as a Director of AxiCorp Limited, the company’s FCA regulated subsidiary in the UK. He will also be AxiTrader’s designated MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) in the UK.
Hare joins AxiTrader after acting as Head of Compliance for more than seven years at GKFX. GKFX has undergone a fairly large management purge the past few months. As was exclusively reported at LeapRate, Jacob Plattner recently left the company’s Managing Director role. His replacement, Joe Rundle, lasted just a week before deciding to join ThinkMarkets.
For its part, AxiTrader has been making key management additions in both its Australia head office and the UK. AxiTrader hired a new CEO earlier this year – former OANDA Head of APAC Rajesh Yohannan – and last month added OANDA and CMC Markets veteran Louis Cooper as Global Head of Retail Services. Most recently, AxiTrader added former Google executive Kevin Tunney to replace Marc Ellison as CMO.
