TAB partners with Thomson Reuters Labs

Thomson Reuters teams up with Seabury TFX to create new trade finance marketplace in Asia

TAB just announced that it has partnered with Thomson Reuters Labs.

TAB’s data analysis brings insight to the next generation of finance industry, the online marketplace. TAB data shows that the amount raised through online finance marketplaces has been doubling almost every year since 2012 and, excluding China, has exceeded $35B in 2017 to date, amounting to over $120B in capital raised since the inception of this fintech revolution.

The challenge today is that alternative financing presents threats to existing capital markets, while also offering opportunities to drive returns. In order to capitalise on these opportunities, the best available data and analytics are required. Investors and analysts need the full picture.

TAB has developed an industry schema and data engineering technology that automatically pulls and standardises data from ~1000 online marketplaces, making it the world’s biggest alternative funding marketplace data vendor.

By partnering with TAB, Thomson Reuters can create new services to help capital markets customers to index, research, and compare traditional equity and debt markets to these new online financial markets. TAB is enhancing its relationship with Thomson Reuters, following the successful launch of its data analysis service onto the Eikon App Store.
