NSD settles first transactions using Instruction Prioritization and Linked Transactions

NSD and Interfax launch Single Disclosure Window product

National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, announced that has successfully settled the first transactions using its two new services – Linked Transactions and Instruction Prioritization. ATON and Alfa-Capital Management Company have become the first companies to use these services.

Both services were launched in spring 2017, and are intended to facilitate more efficient management of assets. The Linked Transactions service allows customers to create a pool of linked instructions to be executed consecutively in accordance with specific conditions. The Prioritization service allows clients to prioritize the execution of instructions when settling securities transactions on a DVP basis (transaction code 19/0) or FOP basis (transaction code 16).

Denis Buryakov, Managing Director for Depository Operations, NSD, said:

The new services – Linked Transactions and Instruction Prioritization – comply with ICSDs’ best practices; they increase the efficiency of settlements and let clients manage instructions to deliver assets in a flexible manner.

Olga Titova, Head of ATON Depository, commented:

As one of the leaders in the provision of brokerage services, ATON pays special attention to transaction speed and efficient asset management. NSD’s services let us use a flexible approach to settlement processes for assets; they significantly raise the quality of client services and meet our high standards.
