Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) Chair Maureen Jensen has announced the appointment of Tim Moseley as a Vice-Chair of the OSC, effective November 29, 2017 for a two year term. Prior to his appointment, Tim served as an OSC Commissioner and as Chair of the Adjudicative Committee.

Tim brings a unique set of skills to the Vice-Chair role, with his extensive securities litigation expertise, regulatory background and experience in enforcement and global business environments,” said Chair Jensen. “During his time as a Commissioner, Tim has been a strong contributor to the OSC’s tribunal proceedings, and his recent adjudicative experience will allow for a seamless transition into the Vice-Chair role.

Moseley is a seasoned securities litigator with more than 20 years of experience in compliance and enforcement, including civil and regulatory proceedings. Tim has also held a series of executive roles overseeing litigation groups and the compliance function at global financial services institutions. His previous experience also includes senior roles in the OSC’s Enforcement Branch.

Since his initial appointment as a Commissioner, Tim Moseley has been instrumental in advancing the OSC’s tribunal best practices, including the recent development of the OSC’s new Rules of Procedure and Practice Guideline.
