LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that FCA regulated institutional FX broker FIXI plc has appointed Tom Tragett as Chief Market Analyst.
FIXI is controlled by Goran Drapac, also the founder and shareholder of Australia based Retail FX broker AxiCorp, which operates the AxiTrader brand.
Tom Tragett has been involved in the FX markets for nearly 40 years as a Trader, Fund manager and more recently as a commentator and retail advisor, helping thousands of retail traders navigate their way through the FX markets.
Prior to joining FIXI Tom spent over a decade working with Fleet Street publications and Agora Financial, where he built up a substantial following.
Tom started his FX career in 1979 working for various UK and international banks until 2004 when he made the move to his own home based trading room. From there he continued to trade FX for his own account as well managing funds for institutional clients.
FIXI has also confirmed that David Freeman has also joined the company as Global Head of Sales and Global Head of Retail FX. David spent 10 years working in the Physical FX market. He was approached for this role to reinvigorate the existing business, but also to take the new retail arm of FIXI plc onto the next phase of the plan set out by the board. Prior to working in the Physical FX market, David spent 2 years at ODL Securities working on the Spot desk.
After acquiring control of FIXI plc in 2015, Goran Drapac invested additional capital into the firm, as the company broadened its product range and platform offering and shifted its focus from pure Institutional customers to Retail/Professional customers.
