LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that Australian Retail FX broker Blueberry Markets has added to its business development team, recruiting Ben Clay, a senior executive from Royal Financial Trading’s Australian operation. He had also spent seven years as a senior sales trader at AxiTrader.
Ben Clay joins Dean Hyde and Tim Mansell as the latest high profile recruit to join the growing firm.
Ben Clay said to LeapRate about his new position:
I’m excited to be involved with the team at Blueberry because I see this as a real opportunity to provide clients with something different. Brokers too often focus on low spreads as their only point of difference.
Sure, we’ve got razor thin spreads, but so does almost everyone else these days!
I’m interested in understanding our client’s goals and helping them succeed. Whether that means sponsoring some education and improving their market knowledge, or offering them a free low latency VPS so they can get the best out of their EA.
Blueberry Markets is based in Sydney, Australia and report that they are onboarding approximately 200 clients per month. Blueberry Markets operates as an Authorised Representative of ASIC regulated broker EightCap Pty Ltd. The company was established by AxiTrader veteran Dean Hyde in 2016.
Dean Hyde commented on the hire,
Our goal is to offer our clients the best trading experience possible and continue our word-of-mouth growth. Ben is the perfect addition to our team having demonstrated his ability to add value to clients in his previous roles.
We’re yet to spend money on marketing, which I see as outstanding validation that clients appreciate trading with us.
