Blackwell Global Hong Kong CEO Gary Cheung appointed as HKSA’s 20th Chairman

Multi-asset brokerage Blackwell Global informed that its Hong Kong CEO Gary Cheung was inaugurated on 2 November 2017 as the 20th Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities Association (HKSA) at the association’s 38th anniversary dinner. Mr. Cheung’s appointment will last for two years, from November 2017 to October 2019. He has taken over this role from Mr. Benny Mau, who served dutifully as Chairman for the last two
years.

HKSA, established in 1979, has the longest history in the securities and financial sector of Hong Kong as a professional organisation. With Mr. Cheung as Chairman, coupled with his extensive managerial experience in the financial services sector of more than 30 years, he will bring the same standards of transparent leadership and protection of clients’ interests to Blackwell Global Hong Kong.

The Association has forged a close relationship with the Hong Kong government and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), to which it provides consultation and advice under the common goal of bettering the industry as a whole.

Blackwell Global Hong Kong appointed Mr. Gary Cheung as CEO in May this year to helm its brokerage offering securities, futures and precious metals investment services.
