Russia’s NSD completes the transfer of its information services

NSD and Interfax launch Single Disclosure Window product

National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, announced that has completed a large-scale project focused on transferring its information services to nsddata.ru, the Corporate Information Center’s (CIC) new technological platform.

NSD’s new product range is based on a flexible service that provides for the customized export of information about securities and organizations related to securities and corporate actions to the client’s API NSD system; this system replaced SIR-NSD and SIR-NSD Light products. The new platform contains upgraded NSD DISC and NSD Valuation Center services, and also allows for the use of additional CSD services.

The API NSD system includes preset download methods getsecurities, getcompanies, and getcorporateactions in both Russian and English with many additional filters for each method. The service is provided in the JSON format and is updated every 3 hours. For the convenience of users of SIR-NSD and other products, the preset export getsir is also available. In addition to more than 12 thousand securities issues serviced by NSD, users of the service will be given access to archived data about approximately 8 thousand securities issues previously serviced by NSD.

Eddie Astanin, Chairman of the Executive Board of National Settlement Depository (NSD), said:

Switching NSD’s Corporate Information Center (CIC) to the new up-to-date and user-friendly platform is in line with NSD’s mission as a supplier of high tech solutions and represents an important step toward developing the Data Warehouse, a high quality official information source in Russia. The next step will be creating the Single Point of Corporate Information Disclosure which is now being developed by NSD together with information agencies accredited by the Bank of Russia.
