Australian regulator ASIC has just announced that it has charged Richard Gardner, a credit representative and former financial adviser, and Advanced Wealth Financial Services Pty Ltd with unauthorized financial services offering.
The company and Gardner are carrying on a financial services business without being authorized or licensed to do so. Advanced Wealth Financial Services is only licensed to provide credit services.
The matter will be heard in the Supreme Court in Brisbane on 12 February 2019, while the regulator is continuing its investigation.
