Coinbase Advanced partners with Coinrule for AI-automated trading

Coinbase “stole” Linkedin’s head of data science just recently. Michael Li, who was Linkedin’s Head of Analytics and Data Science has now joined the cryptocurrency unicorn to be its Vice President of Data, according to his Linkedin profile.

With a educational background in Engineering in China and the US, Mr. Li worked in Capital One, eBay and Coursera, taking different analytics and advisor roles.

Starting as a Director of Business Analytics at Linkedin, Coinbase’s new Head of Data progressed to become Senior Director and then the Head for Analytics and Data Science at the largest professional online network.

As reported by CoinDesk, Mr. Lee expressed his positive outlook on how data changes businesses and what he can do for Coinbase to democratize the financial system around the world:

“Data will be essential to empowering Coinbase’s mission, and core to company’s strategy to deliver the most trusted and easiest-to-use cryptocurrency products and services. I feel privileged to take on this challenging and rewarding new role to start the next chapter of my career.”

Apart from Michael Li’s appointment at Coinbase, the company has made great effort to hire a pool of highly talented professionals in all sectors of the company, including finance, engineering and strategy.

Coinbase is currently expanding and has announced plans to hire more than 100 people for the newly established New York office.
